White House defends IRS handling, McConnell asserts 'culture of intimidation'
Sun May 19, 2013
So, haven't they established that the guy "in charge" when this went down was a Republican? For all we know, he did this at the behest of the RNC to set up a situation that "looked" like the Democratic administration was targeting the "right". He would then resign and get his "reward" with a Republi …
5 unanswered questions about the IRS targeting of conservative groups
Mon May 13, 2013
"The last commissioner was Shulman, who was appointed by President George W. Bush in 2008, left the agency in November and has taken a position as a guest scholar at the Brookings Institution." So, since this started in 2010, I guess the President needs to retroactively fire Shulman.

Poll: Many Americans uninformed about health care overhaul, some don't know it's law
Tue Apr 30, 2013
Since I am fiscally responsible and fiscally conservative, I would much rather see my tax dollars spent on maintaining REAL services rather than subsidizing people who go to the Emergency room for every bump and sniffle. Get the uninsured some coverage and allow everyone's costs to go down.

I don't have a problem with a group of people deciding they don't want anyone's help or little or no help. The problem I have is when people try to tell other people to live like them. There are people who shun modern medicine and rely strictly on prayer to heal their dying children. I respect the …

RobGC Maybe Liberals do not care for the safety and security of law abiding and innocent taxpaying Americans lives, but I do. I beleive if your pay for security, security should be provided. Big Picture, Yes, you are right. we should get what we pay for. The fact of the matter is we don't pay …
Gun groups, defense contractors buck downward trend in lobbying
Tue Apr 23, 2013
With all the money being spent, does this mean our government is the best that money can buy or are these dollars being wasted on a bunch of do-nothing hacks? The "people" have no real voice when up against this type of spending on a daily basis.
The Tea Party, four years later
Tue Apr 16, 2013
The Republicans keep waiting for that next glittery item to catch their eye and the Tea Party was just another in a long string. When these guys adjust their policies and their rhetoric and demonstrate they are not all living in the '50's, then maybe their numbers will rebound. They have strong Cong …

Sat Apr 13, 2013
With 2 "A" rated Senators putting the compromise bill together, maybe this can be an example of the parties working together to address the concerns of Americans. How refreshing would that be? More Common Sense and less Politics please.
